My Studio. Just a word of warning About 2 years ago I was working on a project and decided that I would use the Alternatives feature. Started out well and everything. I was saving alternatives with every revision I did. What happened in the end was that the entire project became corrupt, real scary. I didn't lose anything but still. So my advice would be to not have too many alternatives saved. Things might be different now since that did happen 2 years ago but I was traumatized by the whole thing that I haven't dared to use that feature again.

Again, this was 2 years ago, hopefully they've fixed it by now. Just curious, why are you pointing to Alternatives as being the cause frer the issue. Because I remember reading on other forums that the Alternatives feature turned out to have some bugs in the early versions of Logic X. Like I said, this was 2 years ago and some things hopefully might have changed since then.

The Beatsmith. I just do a 'Save As' before every 'major' change, and after each change made after with V2 on the end, then V3, etc. Alternqtive if someone asks for a logic pro x alternative project free tweak, before doing anything I save a new version with a new version number.

That way you can always go back to the original mix.
